Matcha Cookies

Equipment

  • 1 Large Bowl
  • 1 Mixer
  • 1 Cup
  • 1/4 Cup
  • 1 Small bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 2 1/2 tbsp Matcha green tea powder
  • 3/4 Cup Butter
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • 1 Cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 Egg yolks
  • 1/4 Cup White chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Grab a large bowl
  • Add 2 cups flour to bowl
  • Add 2 1/2 tbsp matcha powder to bowl
  • Grab an electric mixer
  • Add 3/4 cup soft butter to mixer
  • Turn mixer on medium & mix until butter is smooth
  • Turn mixer off
  • Add a pinch of salt to mixer
  • Add 1 cup & 2 tsp powdered sugar to mixer
  • Turn mixer on medium & mix ingredients
  • Turn mixer off
  • Grab a small bowl
  • Crack 2 eggs in the bowl
  • One at a time pick the egg up in your hand & let the rest of the liquid slip through your fingers
  • Once you just have the egg yolk add 2 yolks to the mixer
  • Turn mixer on medium & mix
  • Add the flour & matcha mixture to the mixer slowly
  • Add 1/4 white chocolate chips to mixer
  • Mix until all ingredients are together
  • Take the dough out of the mixer
  • Shape the dough into a cylinder & wrap in plastic wrap
  • Put the dough in the freezer for 2 hours to chill
  • Once it is chilled preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Grab a baking sheet & line with parchment paper
  • Grab a cutting board & knife
  • Remove the dough from the freezer
  • Slice the dough into thin rounds
  • Place them on the baking sheet
  • Cook the cookies for 15 minutes or until edges of cookies are brown
