Frosted Lemonade

Frosted Lemonade

Tasty and refreshing summer drink!

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Pitcher

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 6 cups vanilla ice cream
  • sliced lemons for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Gather ingredients
  • using measuring cup, cut lemons in half and squeeze juice out of them
  • Mix lemon juice and sugar together in a pitcher until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Add water to dilute and chill.
  • Into a blender, add lemonade and ice cream.
  • Blend until smooth and divide among 3 cups. About 1 minute.
  • Garnish with slices of lemon and serve.

Clean Up

  • Put any leftovers into cups and put into refrigerator to save for later.
  • Using soap and water, clean blender, spoon for scooping, measuring cup and anything else that was used.
  • Put dishes away and enjoy your frosted lemonade!

Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles

  • Collander/ Strainer
  • Sharp Knife

Ingredients

  • 3 packages instant ramen noodles Flavor packets discarded
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar optional
  • 1 tsp Chili sauce like siracha
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced into tiny pieces
  • 1 tsp ginger freshly grated
  • 4-6 green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Prepare and gather your ingredients
  • Mince 4 cloves garlic, into small pieces
  • using a grater, grate ginger root, you will need about a teaspoon
  • In a large pot, cook ramen noodles according to packet, about 3/4 minutes on Medium (5) heat
  • Discard flavor packets in ramen noodle packs
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili sauce and water.
  • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet set over medium (5) heat.
  • Stir in garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute
  • Pour in the bowl of sauce and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  •  Stir in cooked ramen noodles until heated through and evenly coated in sauce, about 3 minutes.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds

Ingredients

  • 1 box White Cake Mix (IGNITE is using – Betty Crocker Super Moist White Cake Mix)
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 container frosting (any flavor)

Instructions

Clean Up

  • Put away left over food in smaller containers and refrigerate if needed
  • Wash all dishes used in hot, soapy water
  • Dry dishes and put them away
  • Wipe down counters with a soapy cloth or disinfectant wipe

Skillet Chicken Strips

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken tenderloin (or chicken breast)
  • 2 tsp olive oil (plus more for pan frying)
  • 1-2 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Spice Mixture (Dry Rub Mixture)

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder

Instructions

Spice Mixture

  • In a small bowl, add all of the spice mixture ingredients
  • Stir with a fork to thoroughly combine and set aside

Chicken Tenders

  • Any time you touch the raw meat, wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and hot water
  • If desired, remove any extra fat from the chicken breast, and tenderize if desired
  • Cut chicken breast into strips length wise (thickness is by preference)
  • Place chicken strips in a bowl
  • Drizzle 2 tsp of olive oil over the chicken strips
  • Pour all of your spice mixture over the chicken strips
  • Use your fingers or forks to toss the chicken strips with oil and spices until evenly coated
  • Heat 2-3 tsp oil in a large pan over medium-high heat
  • Add chicken; cook, covered, for 6 minutes
  • Remove the lid and pour lemon juice over the chicken
  • Using tongs or a fork, flip the chicken strips and cook until a dark, crispy crust forms on the outside, about 6 minutes more
  • Using a meat thermometer, check the internal temperature of the chicken strips in the thickest part
  • If the internal temperature of chicken HAS NOT reached 165 degrees, continue cooking for a couple more minutes. Clean thermometer between use and check the temperature again.
  • If the internal temperature of chicken reaches 165 degrees, remove it from the skillet using tongs and let cool before serving.

Philly Cheesesteak

Ingredients

  • 1 thinly sliced steak
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 1 hoagie roll
  • 1 slice of provolone cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Sautéed Onions, peppers, mushrooms, etc.

  • Grab knife and cutting board
  • Using knife slice vegetables into thin slices
  • Grab hot plate and skillet
  • Turn hot plate onto med-high heat
  • Add 1 tbsp olive oil to pan
  • Add vegetables to pan
  • Season with optional seasonings
  • Let vegetable cook until soft
  • Place on plate for later

Steak

  • Using knife and cutting board
  • Slice steak into thin slices (the thinner the better)
  • Season steak with optional seasonings
  • Grab hot plate and skillet
  • Add 1tbsp of olive oil
  • Add steak to pan
  • Cook steak until no pink
  • Add veggies to pan
  • Group all ingredients into pile
  • add cheese to on top
  • let cheese melt

Hoagie

  • coat bread with butter
  • Place hoagie on flat skillet to warm bun
  • Add steak and veggie mix to bun
  • Enjoy 🙂

Baked Ranch Chicken

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F
  • Place the chicken breast in a baking dish (to fit)
  • Any time you touch the raw meat, wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and hot water
  • Drizzle with olive oil on both sides and rub in
  • Sprinkle or shake the ranch seasoning mix over the chicken on both sides
  • Place in the oven and bake for 18–20 minutes
  • Pull pan out of the oven and use a thermometer to check the temperature of the thickest part
  • If the internal temperature of chicken HAS NOT reached 165 degrees, place back in the oven and bake another 5 minutes. Clean thermometer between use.
  • If the internal temperature of chicken reaches 165 degrees, remove it from the oven and lett rest a few minutes before serving
