  • Large mixing bowl
  • Small mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Fresh bread* cubes (1-inch cubes) *Use firm sourdough, whole wheat, or semolina bread
  • 1/3 Tbsp Butter, melted *Cut one Tbsp of butter, then cut into thirds
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 Pinch Ground cinnamon *pinch some cinnamon between two fingers and add to small mixing bowl

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Cube bread into 1-inch cubes, once done place these in a large bowl.
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the cubed bread; toss lightly to coat all the cubes.
  • Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mix over the bread; toss lightly again to mix well.
  • Spread bread cubes in a single layer on ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until bread is golden and fragrant, turning once or twice.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes, and then serve warm or at room temperature.

Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper to line the baking sheet with
  • 1 Basting Brush
  • Tablespoon (Tbsp) measuring spoon
  • Teaspoon (tsp) measuring spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 Frozen soft pretzel, thawed Make sure it is thawed
  • 1/4 Tbsp German mustard or whole grain brown mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 Slices Black forest ham
  • 1 Slice Gouda cheese
  • 1 Tbsp Water For adding the salt to the pretzel, using the basting brush

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 °F. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Carefully slice your thawed pretzel in half, crosswise, using a serrated knife.
  • Combine the mustard and mayonnaise in a small bowl. Then Spread the mixture on the bottom half of your pretzel.
  • Top with 2 ham slices, 1 cheese slice, and place the top half of the pretzel on top.
  • Place your sandwich on to the prepared baking sheet. Using the basting brush and 1/4 Tbsp of water, brush the top of the sandwiches with water. Sprinkle with salt from packet.
  • Place into your preheated oven, and bake for 8 minutes, or until cheese is melted to your liking.

Notes

For cold sandwiches, bake the pretzel according to package directions. When they are cool enough to handle, slice them and top with the sandwich fillings.

*This recipe has been modified from the original which makes 4 servings, instead of a single serving

  • 1 Microwave safe bowl
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • Hot Plate
  • 1 Medium Size Pan
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 1/4 Cup
  • 1 Plate Per person
  • 1 Butter Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1/4 TSP Salt
  • 2 TBSP Butter Melted
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions

Butter

  • Put the butter into a microwave safe bowl
  • Microwave for 15 seconds
  • If not melted repeat

Batter

  • Grab the mixing bowl
  • Put the flour in the bowl
  • Crack the eggs and put them into the bowl
  • Grab the whisk and mix them together
  • Add the milk to the bowl
  • Mix
  • Add the water to the bowl
  • Mix
  • Add salt
  • Add melted butter
  • Mix

Cooking

  • Put your pan on the hot plate and set it to medium
  • Once the pan gets hot spray cooking spray into the pan
  • Grab the 1/4 cup
  • Put one scoop of batter into the middle of the pan
  • Tilt the pan so that the batter covers the bottom of the pan
  • Cook for 2 minutes (Top should be dry)
  • Grab a spatula and flip the crepe
  • Cook for 1 minute
  • Put crepe on your plate
  • Add the toppings that you like and enjoy

Honey Garlic Spicey Chicken

Servings 1 1

Equipment

  • 3 Bowls 1 for sauce, 1 for chicken and 1 for eating
  • 2 Spoons 1 for mixing chicken and 1 for mixing sauce
  • 1 Pan
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Hot Plate
  • 1 Tongs

Ingredients

Sauce

  • 1 TBSP Rice Vinegar
  • 1 TBSP Soy Sauce
  • 1 TSP Chili Garlic Sauce You can add more if you want it to be spicier
  • 2 TSP Honey
  • 1/4 TSP Sesame Oil

Chicken

  • 1 Chicken Thigh
  • 1 TBSP Cornstarch
  • Seasoning Add your choice of seasoning

Instructions

Sauce

  • Add all of the sauce ingredients to a bowl
  • Mix until all ingredients are combined

Chicken

  • Cut chicken into bite size pieces, about the size of a quarter
  • Put chicken into a bowl
  • Add cornstarch and your choice of seasoning to the chicken
  • Mix until chicken is evenly coated
  • Put pan on hot plate and heat on high heat
  • When pan is hot add cooking oil and turn down to medium
  • Add chicken to pan
  • Spread on the bottom of the pan evenly
  • Let cook for 3 minutes
  • Flip and let cook for another 3 minutes
  • If the chicken is not golden flip and cook for another 2 minutes on each side, this step may need to be repeated
  • When the chicken is golden add your sauce to the pan
  • Mix together until combined
  • Let cook for 2 minutes
  • Mix again
  • Let cook for 2 more minutes
  • When your sauce gets thicker turn hot plate off and mix again
  • Put chicken and sauce into a bowl
  • Enjoy!

 

Garlic and Cheese Naan

Equipment

  • Toaster oven
  • Tin Foil
  • Microwave
  • Microwave safe bowl
  • Butter Knife
  • Oven Mits/Pot Holders
  • Small Spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 Pre-made Naan
  • 1/2 TBSP Melted Butter
  • 1/4 TSP Minced Garlic
  • 1/4 TSP Chopped Rosemary
  • 1/2 CUPS Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 Pinch Red Chili Flakes

Instructions

Butter

  • With a butter knife cut 1/2 TBSP of butter
  • Put the 1/2 TBSP of butter into a microwave safe bowl
  • Put the bowl with butter into the microwave and cook for 10 Seconds
  • If the butter is not melted cook for another 5 Seconds

Naan

  • Rip off a piece of tin foil big enough to fit a piece of the naan
  • Put the naan onto the tin foil
  • Using a small spoon spread melted butter on top of the naan
  • Put garlic, rosemary, chili flakes, and shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the naan
  • Put the naan into the toaster oven
  • Set toaster oven to 400 degrees
  • Let cook for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted
  • When naan is done baking use oven mitts to take it out of the toaster oven
  • Turn toaster oven off and enjoy!
