Easy Stewed Apples

Equipment
- 1 Medium to large saucepan for sautéing the apples
- 1 Peeler for peeling the skin off of the apples
- Measuring spoons for the brown sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon
Ingredients
- 1 Apple Granny Smith best for these
- 1/2 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted Cut 1 Tbsp and then cut in half to get appropriate measurement
- 1 1/2 tsp Brown Sugar
- 3/4 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Instructions
Peel:
- Peel the skin off of your apple.
Chop:
- Cut your apple evenly into bite-sized pieces/chunks.
Sautee:
- Place your apple chunks and all remaining ingredients (butter, brown sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon) in a medium-large saucepan.
- Set over medium heat and cover.
- Once bubbling, lower the heat, bringing the dish to a simmer.
- Cook, stirring the apples often, until they are fork tender (about 5-7 minutes)
Serve:
- Serve warm or cold by themselves, or with ice cream, yogurt, or oats!
