Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl or hand mixer
  • 1 Toaster oven or oven
  • 1 Large Bowl
  • 1 Small bowl

Materials

Cookies

  • 2 Sticks Butter
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 3 Cups Flour

Topping

  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Plug in a toaster oven
  • Preheat the toaster oven to 350

Mixing

  • Get out a large bowl
  • Soften 2 sticks of butter
  • Pour the 2 sticks of butter into the large bowl
  • Pour the 1 cup of sugar into the large bowl
  • Get out a hand mixer
  • Plug in the hand mixer
  • Cream the butter and sugar on medium-high till mixed, or 3 minutes
  • Turn off the hand mixer
  • Add the 1 tablespoon of vanilla to the large bowl
  • Add the 1 egg to the large bowl
  • Use the hand mixer to mix the ingredients
  • Mix ingredients in the large bowl until light and fully, about 3 minutes
  • Turn off the hand mixer
  • Add 2 teaspoons of baking powder to the large bowl
  • Add the 3 cups of flour to the large bowl
  • Mix the flour and baking powder into the large bowl
  • Use the hand mixer to mix until all ingredients are combined
  • Turn off and unplug the hand mixer
  • The dough should be firm, not dry or crumbly

Topping

  • Take out a small bowl
  • Pour 3 tablespoons of sugar into the small bowl
  • Pour 1 tablespoon of cinnamon into the small bowl
  • Use a spoon to mix together the ingredients in the small bowl

Combining

  • Roll out all cookie dough flat on a clean surface
  • Leave about medium thickness, about 1 centimeter thick
  • Cover the cookie dough with the cinnamon sugar topping
  • Sprinkle the topping equally over the cookie dough
  • Cut out the cookies with cookie cutters
  • Place shaped cookies onto a cooking pan
  • Place the cooking pan into the oven
  • Bake the cookies for 6-9 minutes
  • Take the cookies out before the edges start browning
  • Let the cookies cool
  • Once the cookies are cool you can decorate them!

Materials

  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 3.4 ounces Instant vanilla pudding
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Pumpkin pie spice
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip
  • 1 Pie crust 9-inch

Instructions

  • Add 1 cup of pumpkin puree to a large bowl
  • Add 3.4 ounces of pudding to the large bowl
  • Add 1/4 cup of milk to the large bowl
  • Add 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice to a large bowl
  • Place whisks in a hand mixer
  • Turn on the hand mixer
  • Mix all the ingredients until smooth
  • Carefully fold in 8 ounces of Cool Whip
  • Pull out pie crust
  • Pour ingredients from the large bowl into the pie crust
  • Place pie in the refrigerator to chill before serving
  • Chill until it sets enough to slice or 3 hours

Materials

Potatoes

  • 5 Pound bag Potatoes
  • 4 Tablespoons Softened Butter
  • 2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 4 Teaspoons Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese

Gravy

  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 4 Tablespoons Flour
  • 3 Cups Broth
  • 2 Teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

Making Mashed Potatoes

  • Peel potatoes
  • Chop potatoes
  • Place potatoes in a pot
  • Fill the pot with water
  • Pull out a hotplate
  • Turn the hot plate on high
  • Place the pot of potatoes on the hot plate
  • Bring the pot to boil
  • Reduce hot plate heat to medium
  • Cook until tender, 10-12 minutes
  • Strain the pot
  • Turn off the hot plate
  • Unplug the hot plate
  • Add 4 Tablespoons of butter to the pot
  • Cream the butter and potatoes with a mixer
  • Add one cup of heavy cream to the pot
  • Add 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese to the pot
  • Add 2 teaspoons of salt to the pot
  • Add 4 teaspoons of garlic to the pot
  • Mix the potatoes together until creamy

Making Savory Gravy

  • Plug in the hot plate
  • Turn the hot plate to medium heat
  • Place a medium pan on the hot plate
  • Add 4 Tablespoons of butter to the pan
  • Wait for the butter to melt
  • Add 4 Tablespoons of flour to the pan
  • Whisk flour and butter until smooth
  • Add 3 cups of broth to the pan
  • Increase the hot plate to medium-high heat
  • Whisk pan constantly
  • Add 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce to the pan
  • Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the pan
  • Add 1 teaspoon of sugar to the pan
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper to the pan
  • Whisk ingredients for several minutes until the gravy thickens
  • Cover the pan
  • Remove the pan from the hot plate
  • Turn off the hot plate
  • Unplug the hot plate

Potatoes and gravy

  • Serve the gravy over the garlic mashed potatoes

  • Get out a blender
  • Scoop 2 cups of ice
  • Place 2 cups of ice cubes into a blender
  • Fill up 1 cup of water
  • Pour 1 cup of water into the blender
  • Fill up 1/3 cup with Powdered Kool-Aid mix
  • Pour 1/3 cup of Powdered Kool-Aid Mix into Blender
  • Close the lid on the blender
  • Plug in the blender
  • Turn the blender on to high
  • Blend the drink until the ice is smooth
  • Turn off the blender
  • Unplug the blender

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened (left at room temperature for an hour before using)
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sprinkles (or mini chocolate chips)
  • 1/2 cup holiday M&Ms

Instructions

  • View notes section below and choose ONE substitution to try in the recipe.
  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter, oil and sugars together. (either with fork or electric mixer)
  • Add eggs and beat until fluffy. (either with fork or electric mixer)
  • Add baking soda, salt, powder, vanilla and flour.
  • Mix well. (either with fork, rubber spatula, or electric mixer)
  • Fold in sprinkles with a rubber spatula
  • Use cookie scoop (or roll into about 1 1/2 inch balls) and put on greased cookie tray or parchment paper.
  • Top with 4-5 M&Ms.
  • Bake at 350 for 7-8 minutes.
  • Let cool completely before removing from tray.

Notes

Choose one substitution from the list below to use in the recipe:
  • Use 1/4 cup applesauce (instead of 1/4 cup oil)
  • Use 1/3 cup brown sugar and 1/3 cup white sugar (instead of 1/2 cup of the sugars)
  • Use 3/4 cup whole wheat flour and 3/4 cup white flour (instead of all 1 1/2 cups white flour)
  • Use1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce + 1 tsp baking powder (instead of 1 egg)

  • 1 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 packet of dry Ranch dressing seasoning mix or Italian dressing mix
  • 1 Yellow Pepper

  • 1 Carrot (long carrots)

Instructions

  • Wash all vegetables in cold water
  • Cut carrot into long strips
  • Cut Yellow bell pepper into strips
  • Cut Cucumber into strips or round slices (your choice!)
  • Grab a medium bowl
  • Add 1 cup sour cream to bowl
  • Add 1 cup mayonnaise to bowl
  • Add your 1 packet choice of dry seasoning to the bowl
  • Mix all ingredients together in bowl with spoon

Ingredients

  • 6 pounds Apples Peeled, Cored, And Cut Into 8 Slices
  • 1 cup Apple Juice Or Apple Cider
  • Juice Of 1 Lemon
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Packed
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon More Or Less To Taste
  • Optional Ingredients: Nutmeg Maple Syrup, Allspice, Butter

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a large pot and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes.
  • Carefully puree in a food processor or blender (don’t fill too full; split into two portions if needed) until smooth.
  • Store in the fridge and serve by itself, over pork chops, over ice cream, over pancakes…or any place where applesauce is needed!

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Crack the eggs, one at a time at the mid-point between the more-rounded (wide) end and the pointier end of the egg by hitting it against the sharp edge of the small bowl. Hold the egg over the bowl with the cracked part facing up. Pry the shell open gently and allow the egg to slide into the bowl. Add the salt, and use the fork or whisk to beat the eggs until they are pale yellow. If you’re using any Yummy Extras (see below), add them in now.
  • Put the skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium. When the skillet is hot, add the oil. Pour in the egg mixture and tilt the pan to spread the eggs around the bottom.
  • When the eggs look firm and set, gently and carefully shake the skillet to loosen the omelet.
  • Using your spatula, fold the omelet in half and then slide it onto the plate.
  • Serve right away.

Fillings
Try one or more of the following combinations, or make up your own (use about 1/2 cup of filling total):
Chopped fresh spinach, sliced mushrooms, and shredded Swiss cheese
Sliced bell peppers and scallions and shredded cheddar cheese
Salsa and chopped avocado
Chopped olives and tomatoes and crumbled feta cheese
Chopped tomatoes and fresh basil and ricotta cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Pasta
  • Tomatoes Sliced in half
  • Measuring cups
  • Peppers Diced
  • Diced
  • Italian dressing

Instructions

  • Fill Large pot with water
  • Put on hot plate and set temperature to HIGH
  • Once water is bubbling really fast, pour in noodles
  • Sprinkle salt into the water and stir
  • Set timer for 10 minutes
  • Lower temperature to medium
  • While pasta is cooking:
  • Dice onion
  • Dice peppers
  • Slice tomatoes in half
  • Add veggies to large green bowl
  • When Timer goes off:
  • Get strainer or colander and put in sink
  • Carefully pour large pot of pasta into strainer to drain the water
  • Rinse pasta with cold water
  • Once pasta is cool add to large bowl
  • Add 1 cup of salad dressing
  • Stir and mix well.
  • Pour pasta mixture into tin and cover with aluminum foil.
  • Wash ALL dishes, pots, and silverware
  • Put away clean dishes and put away hot plate.

Basil Pesto

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves packed (can sub half the basil leaves with baby spinach)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Romano or Parmesan-Reggiano cheese about 2 ounces
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts can sub chopped walnuts
  • 3 garlic cloves minced (about 3 teaspoons)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Place the basil leaves and pine nuts into the bowl of a food processor and pulse a several times.
  • Add the garlic and Parmesan or Romano cheese and pulse several times more.
  • Scrape down the sides of the food processor with a rubber spatula.
