Ground Beef Tacos

Ground Beef Tacos

Nice Meaty taste.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons onion minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 package taco shells or tortillas
  • 1/2 Head Lettuce Optional
  • 1 Tomato Large, Ripe, Optional

Instructions

  • Peel and mince the onion if not minced.
  • Chop lettuce into shredded pieces
  • Chop tomato into small squares
  • Put the hotplate or burner on medium
  • Add 1 tsp of oil
  • Add onion into the pan with the oil and cook it until soft and translucent
  • Add 1 pound of ground beef to skillet
  • Cook beef for 7 minutes or until it is brown
  • Turn the hotplate or burner to low or follow instructions for taco seasoning mix
  • Add the taco seasoning mix into the skillet
  • Put as much meat and vegtables in a taco shell or tortilla as you want. Repeat if needed.
  • Turn off hot plate or burner when finished

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. lean ground beef
  • 3 RITZ Crackers finely crushed
  • 2 Tbs KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup Marinara Pasta Sauce
  • 1 hot dog bun

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400F.
  • Mix meat, cracker crumbs, Parmesan cheese and 2 Tbs of the marinara sauce in medium bowl.
  • Shape into 3 meatballs, about the size of a golf ball
  • Place 2 inches apart, in shallow baking pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake for 15 min. or until meatballs are cooked through (160F).
  • Place 3 meatballs on hotdog bun
  • Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese (if desired)
  • Place back in oven for 5 minutes until cheese is melted
  • Wash up. Making meatballs is hands-on work, so put food safety at the top of your to-do list. Keep things clean by washing your hands before and after this recipe.

Burgers

  • George Forman cooker, Griddle, or Skillet
  • Splatula

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Ground Meat Beef or Turkey
  • 1 Hamburger bun
  • 1 Pinch Salt and Pepper
  • Sliced Cheese Optional
  • Tomato Optional
  • Onion Optional
  • Ketchup Optional
  • Mustard Optional
  • Mayonnaise Optional

Instructions

  • Pre heat cooking device. (George foreman (set to 400F), Griddle (375F), Skillet (3 setting)
  • Divide the meat and gently form it into balls. (Don’t overwork the meat or it will become dry and tough.)
  • Flatten the balls into 1/2-inch-thick patties. Also flatten the top and sides of each patty to ensure that the thickness is the same throughout.
  • Use your fingers to make a shallow well in the top of each patty. Season the patties with salt and pepper.
  • Cook, with the wells facing up, until the burgers release easily, 4 to 5 minutes for medium. (Don’t press or flatten.)
  • Flip; cook 4 to 5 minutes more. If you want cheese, add a slice of cheese at this time.
  • When finished, put burger on bun, add whatever condiments (like ketchup, mustard, tomato, mayo, ect.) you like and enjoy!

Egg in a Hole

Egg in a Hole

A simple breakfast using toast and eggs.

Equipment

  • Griddle/Pan
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • With a rim of a glass or cup, press a hole in the center of the slice of bread.
  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat (about 350 degrees and melt in the butter.
  • When the butter is all spread out, place the bread in the skillet
  • Crack the egg straight into the center of the hole.
  • Sprinkle the egg with salt and pepper.
  • Cook until the egg sets a bit on the bottom. After about a minute, flip it over with a spatula and salt and pepper the other side.
  • Move the toast around in the skillet, soaking up all of the glorious butter.
  • Let it cook until the yolk feels soft. Here’s the key: golden brown toast, white (not browned/burned) whites, soft unbroken yolk.
  • Using spatula take off griddle, and transfer to plate. Enjoy!

Turkey Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground turkey
  • 1 packet packet taco seasoning
  • 1 diced Onion
  • 1 Head Lettuce
  • 6 Taco Shells
  • 2 cup Shredded Cheese
  • 1 cup Sour cream Optional
  • Tomato Optional
  • Vegtable Oil

Instructions

  • Using a knife and cutting board chop your onion into small pieces.
  • Put your onion to the side for later.
  • Place your ground turkey meat into a bowl.
  • Add your preferred seasonings (Taco seasoning, pepper, salt, onion powder, etc.)
  • Mix your ground turkey meat all together to cover it with seasoning.
  • Turn a hotplate with skillet on medium heat.
  • Add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to pan to warm pan.
  • Once pan is hot add your chopped onions to the pan and cook until they are soft
  • Next, Add your seasoned turkey meat to the pan, stirring consistently
  • Cook your turkey meat for 10-15 minutes or until completely brown
  • Turn your hot plate off and place turkey meat onto a plate
  • Optional: Using a knife and cutting board dice tomatoes and shred lettuce into small pieces
  • Place taco shells in toaster oven for 5 minutes
  • Add your turkey meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and sour cream as desired
  • Enjoy!
